Thanks for that!..William Bryan is Elizabeth Evans step-father.She was 4 when he and Mary Ann got married, her father is unknown.Diana Evans is Elizabeth's daughter by William Smith the lodger who is married but not to her!!She was one of their many children and we have yet to find a marriage for them or indeed William's first wife! All good fun..

.....and there's more! All the children were born Evans but called themselves Smith when the mood took them too!!!I don't mind ,it makes it more interesting, although it might have been nicer if they did'nt have such common surnames! Thanks for your offer,i would be most grateful if you had the time to look in 1841 for me ..Julie.

Hi Alli, Thanks for that-i have only just found those-it's taken me ages to find them but i managed a trip to Hereford and had a nose in the Records Office.I also found another child of hers that was baptised with the surname Bryan which was her step-fathers surname. So now even more wringing of hands and gnashing!!I have been unable to find anything much about any of them at all, even after all this time-infuriating but part of the fun!!?? Julie..
