Hi Jay, There are two cemetaries that cover that area; Redhouse and Windmill, that is if you are certain it was a cemetary burial and not a church yard burial. However I am in the process of having those registers checked to see if there is any record of Freds burial. Regards Trevor

Hi Jay,, I have checked the cemetary records and no burial in that name is recorded at either of these cemetaries. It could be churchyard burial but without any further details ie address at death I would not be able to work out the likely burial place. Regards Trevor

Hi Jay, Leave that with me and I'll get back in touch with Cemetaries department. If its a war grave it will have a memorial which once I locate it I can get a photo for you. I notice that he was only 20yrs at time of death and he was from Woodlands. It might not be anything but Woodlands is on the other side of the main road from Adwick. Leave it with me. Regards Trevor

Hi Jay, I've recontacted the Cemetary department and spoke to a different girl who has found the burial record. She said in defence of the other assistant that the writing was difficult to read. However, the grave is in the Windmill Balk Lane cemetary, Adwick Le Street, Doncaster. She could not say if there is a memorial but at the time of death Fred was resident at Crookhill Park Hall, Conisborough. Apparently this was some sort of home/hospital come rest home, but it is no longer there. There are details of who purchased the grave plot but under data protection rules she was not able to say who it was unless I can say who I think it is, then she will be able to confirm it Would you like me to try and get you a photo. If so I will need an e mail address to send it to. I will give you my E mail in a personal message. If you have details of who you think were close relatives to purchase the plot then if you supply them to me I will see what I can do. Regards Trevor
