Hi and welcome to Rootschat
Could you give some names etc of the particular Hone family you are researching plus birthyears/birthplaces.
I've found a couple of entries for Sibford Gower but nothing for Sibford Ferris

Hi , thank you for replying to me. I am new to this and finding it a bit hard, any help you can give me will be very much appreciated. My mothers name was Isabel Gladys Hone and she was born March 6th 1913 in Sibford Ferris I think, but when she married December 28th 1937 her name on the wedding certificate was Patrica Gladys Isabel Palmer. I also think my Great Grandmother was Hulda Anne Hone and she was born in Oxen Shenington and her 4 siblings 3 girls 1 boy were born Oxon Sibford Gower. Looking forward to hearing from you. Ann

Hi Carole, Thank you ,I am getting quite excited now, I am fairly certain that my Grandmother is Gladys Sarah Hone and maybe gave birth to my mother out of wedlock father unknown and she later married a chap with the surname of Palmer. Ann

Hi
I suspect she was illegitimate and when Gladys married Thomas Palmer he either legally adopted her or she took on his name by deed poll or just became known as Palmer. This is her birth reference
June qtr 1913 Isabel G Hone mothers maiden name HONE Banbury Volume 3A Page 2312
A copy of the birth cert will tell you for definite if Gladys was her mother but I somehow doubt there will be a fathers name shown
If you do decide to apply for a copy - don't put any parents names on your application just in case Gladys wasn't her mother. The GRO reference I have quoted above will be sufficient (ie) Banbury Volume 3A Page 2312

Deaths Jun 1900 Hone David aged 47 Banbury 3a 551
Huldah re-married
Marriages Dec 1902 Huldah Ann Hone Banbury 3a 2054 to either Edward Percy Miller or Thomas Green. I'd hazard a guess at Green as there is a 1901 entry for Sibford Gower and he was b 1855 and was a widower in 1901
Marriages Dec 1900 Brain John James Banbury 3a 1896 Hone Lucy Florence Banbury 3a 1896
Marriages Jun 1922
HONE Wilfred V Rose E Palmer Banbury 3a 2741

Hi Ann
I have just found Huldah with her parents and siblings on the 1861 and 1871 census. I'm just about to start on David Hone
If you would send me a pm with your email address, I will send the images to you
