Looking for ancestors

This photo is of John Bell (right) with his son, Robbie, and nephew, Jim Palmer. John Bell was the son of James and Fanny on my avatar. He was born in 1881 at Tundergarth and was living there, aged 19, in 1901.
He married someone called Jean. This must have happened well before 1930, as I think the photo was taken late 20's or early 30's. I just cannot find the marriage on Scotland's people. Can anyone help?
I would also like to know where he lived, and was visited by his nephew from London in the photo. Obviously a marriage cert would possibly help with that.

Hi julieann, To what extent have you searched SP? ,ie, have you tried searching for a wife called Jane or Janet? or simply all names beginning with 'J' ? Was John still unmarried in 1901? - I assume so because of your comment about the date of the photo. Where did you get his wifes name - marriage cert / death cert?
I'd like to help, as I'm sure a lot of folk on RC will. However, I don't want to cover ground that you've been over already.

I did too ev. I agree, far too many to search from the info we have. Maybe julieann can help us narrow it down.

Have you looked for a death for John Bell. The certificate should give his wife's maiden name on it.

Julieann, Gadget makes a good point - that's kinda what I was getting to in my first reply. Where did you get Jean's name? Dave
