Joseph and Annie Wilcoxon were my gt grand parents, Bertha, Hector Penry and Joseph Oswald were some of their nine children. Joseph O died in the Somme . The name above - Ada Jane Owens is one of their daughters who married John Owen Owens ,known as `Jack`. Josephs parents Thomas and Elizabeth are buried in Wern Graveyard.

Hi Wilcoxon
Glad you found them. Lucky you
I live in hopes of my William. Do you know if any of these chapels had cemeteries or need I look elsewhere? It's difficult living down south and really not knowing the area that well. I would like to know if a particular record office may have burial records.
Cheers Erika

Ok Erika, here we go
Dissenters Graveyard Rhosddu. Gomer Owen - no detail
Mary Owen died 1857 aged 40, John Owen died 1885 aged 68, Mary Owen died 1886 aged 46, these three on same stone.
Ruthin Road Cemetery Entry 826 Frances Owen, no age , date or any more details. " 283 Francis Owens, Maria Owens, no ages or dates. " 536 Elizabeth Owen w/o Richard Owen Wrexham d/o Thomas and Julia Drew of Stourport died Mar 14 1860 aged 34 and Richard Owen husband of Elizabeth died Jan 7 1865 aged 49 Entry 852 William Owen 1844 aged 72 and Hannah Owen died 1841 aged 74
I know the last one isn`t right, and I`m not sure about first one. What about Richard, could he be Williams son ?? There is nothing useful in the way of non conformist registers in Wrexham , but you could try the Denbs Record Office at Ruthin. Could they have been buried somewhere else, Duddleston is only about 8 miles from Wrexham, and about 4 miles from Ellesmere and Overton. Worth a try I suppose.
Of course just because there is no headstone doesn`t mean they are not buried in Wrexham
MIKE My Uncle Jack died 1958 aged 78 and was a coal miner.

Hi Wilcoxon
Wow you have been busy, thank you.
I do have a Mary Owen who was Richard's wife, but don't think those Mary's fit her
My Richard was born about 1807..
I like your idea about Duddleston, but I think I'll try the Record Office at Ruthin first, maybe they can do a lookup for me, I haven't contacted them before.
Many thanks Erika

I have been looking on the Denbighshire Record Office website and have found an archive which could be of some help if I knew what it meant
It is for Wrexham Wesleyan Methodist Circuit Records 1838-1973
Would these be useful? I have no idea what they hold.
Any answers would be helpful.
Thanks Erika

There are some registers in AN Palmer centre in Wrexham, these are Wesleyan, but are mostly baptisms and marriages for the Coedpoeth circuit. They don`t seem to be the same dates as you have. Try an email to the records office, they are usually VERY helpful and reply with good information.
