As ye canne see, we are travellinge backe to a tyme where people bequeathed theirye beddes and linens to thee beloved sonnes and daughters. I am filled with joyous feelyngs when i set my eyes to reading ye olde wills and wish , with everything, that I too had theese written parchments ..... alas , me olde Gypsies bequeathed and gave to their familie members their thyngs before they became of sicke dyspostion.......

Very quick go at it: Testator "of Brightwell, Gent." To be bur. in Fingest? Churchyard, Bucks Loving wife Mary - use of all household goods, on her decease to dau. Elizabeth Dau. Elizabeth, "by my now wife", her heirs and assigns - messuage and tenement, orchards, gardens and appurts. at Crowin... Gifford(?) in Oxon. lately purchased of John Butler & Frances Redman. (says Frances, could be Francis, scribes being what they were...) Son John & Thomas Ferrers "by a former wife" - get 12d each "they being already provided for" Son James Ferrers "by my now wife" - £50 Executrix dau. Elizabeth - who is under 21 Witnesses Margery Astin, Elias Smith Will Written August 1702 Proved 1718
