Thats what I thought, about being too far away. Maybe someone can check the said parish registers to see if these couples baptised children in the parishes.

No doubt you are aware of the Great Waltham Adams families but you may not be aware that one of them migrated to Romford. He was baptised in 1767 at Gt Waltham and married Jemima Coote there in 1788, sometime after the baptism of their third child in 1798 the family moved to Romford. I know William was buried at Romford but I have no knowledge of what happened to the children. William is an ancestor of mine.
This info might be of no value but at least it provides another avenue of research if you get desperate
Regards.

Hi I have a lot of family who too moved down to the Tendring peninsular around the early 1800's ,have yet to fathom out what the great exodus was all about ,but have at least 6 families from the Suffolk area moving this way.A lot of them were single men who married local girls.
I also have a relative with the St Osyth PR's and will ask her to look up your family for you, though it may take a few days as she is quite busy.
I'll get back to you as soon as I hear from her. Lin

Hi Nicola Right ,finally have some news for you.
My cousin checked the St Osyth Baptisms back to 1790 and there is only one baptism Bapt 17/2/1813 George son of John and Elizabeth Adams of St Osyth Heath (which is halfway to Weeley from St osyth ) a carrier by trade ,Minister was Rev Brown. 1 Adams marriage 18/11/1813 Thomas Woolwich and Hannah Adams ,witnesses were Mary Adams and Joseph Adams.
She also checked Weeley PR's and strangely found 15/8/1813 George son of John and Elizabeth Adams of Bow(?) Heath ,trade Farmer. all other bapts at Weeley either had Robert and Mary Adams or Joseph and Eliza Adams as parents ,these were between 1813 and 1825.
She also checked to see if there was a death of one of the George Adams as it would seem likely that the George born in St Osyth may have died ,but apparently not.Unless they were in another parish at the time.
Sorry not to be able to clarify it all further.
