Frederick Mason-Hanley
« on: Sunday 13 January 08 23:54 GMT (UK) »

Frederick Mason born in Hanley Staffordshire in c 1841,married my relative Emma Nicholls,who was born in Hanley in c 1841,at Wellington St Luke Hanley in 1863.They had the following children all born in Hanley;
Thomas born c 1864
Frederick born c 1865
Henry born c 1869
William born c 1870
Elizabeth born c 1873
William born c 1876
Emma born c 1878
Joshua born c 1880
The first William must have died obviously,as the other William perhaps shows.I have the family in 1871 and 1881,where they are living in Queen Anne Street Shelton-RG11/2722/32/5.However I can find no corresponding members of this Family after 1881,and would very much welcome any ideas as to where they may have gone.

Thanks Suz,and yes I have seen the entry,and as ever with some Families,there is an alternative Frederick from 1881.There is a Frederick born in c 1867,given as the son of a Charles and Emma Mason,also living,possibly next door to the elder Frederick and Emma at 2 Queen Anne St Hanley.Of course,to add to the mix,it is very likely also,that Charles and Frederick were brothers.The 1851 Census shows a Frederick born in c 1842,and a brother Charles born in c 1841,the sons of Thomas and Sarah Mason.See HO107/2005/23/38.
