From Liverpool to Canada
« on: Monday 14 January 08 10:56 GMT (UK) »

Here I am again, looking for another needle in another haystack but somehow or other Roots always come up with some answers!
I need help yet again, please.

I am trying to trace Elizabeth Fraser (nee Lightfoot) born in Liverpool abt.1866 who apparently left her husband Robert Fraser and went to Canada taking her children (I think there were two, but anyway there was definitely one also called Elizabeth born Liverpool 1900) with her. Now the thing is, I have no idea where she went to or when she went, although it would be the early 1900s.
I know that I am asking the impossible, but hopefully someone may be able to point me in the right direction.

Thanks for all your past help.

Hi Cecile:
I have looked at the emigration records on findmypast.com... but there are many Elizabeth Frazers.....was she called Bessie/Beth/Lizzie sometimes?

Do you have any more information?.....Did young Elizabeth have siblings called Dave, Agnes and Ethel?

Hi
Thanks for getting back to me.
Elizabeth Fraser Snr was known as Lizzie but I am not sure about young Elizabeth. There was talk that there was also a son called Hugh but I am not 100% sure about that.
Not a great deal of help am I.

You could try searching the Canadian 1901 and 1911 census at www.automatedgenealogy.com for free

Your welcome, just remember to click on "split view" and that will bring up the original copy of the census for you.
