I need to know is where groom came from and whether he was a widower.

You're in luck, there's extra detail, which is fairly unusual pre 1754.

Samuel Marsam of Luton, linen draper, and Sarah Hurst of Henlow 24 Dec 1719 by licence. No mention of widower which is not to say that he wasn't one.

Thanks so much. It is the one I want - extra details have confirmed this. For information I was chancing it as in Samuel's will it looks like his wife's maiden name is Sours.

Is it possible that one of you kind folks could look up something for me please? This is what I need:

William Payne (or Paine) married a Mary ... This would have been around 1810. They had their first child, I believe, William Payne in 1815 in Henlow.

What I am trying to find is the maiden name of Mary, the date of their marriage and their dates of birth if possible. Hope this is not too much to ask.
