Cemetery - Toronto - COMPLETED, MANY THANKS
« on: Thursday 03 July 08 17:16 BST (UK) »

Hi

Does anyone live near the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Toronto.

It would be brilliant if someone could take a photo of a grave stone for me.

Thanks

Betty,

If no one else offers, I might be able to do something for you next week.

Do you have any details about the location of the grave?

Hi Mat

Thanks for the offer.

I am interested in a James McKenzie who died on 26th July 1957. I have his obit which states it was Trull Funeral Home who were dealing with the burial at the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. I am afraid I do not have the plot number but I am hoping perhaps the following stone is in the same location.

It is in plot 323 A2 and A3 and the name is Jenny and Jack Lindfield. They are in the Garden of the Last Supper. Jenny died on 28th February 1994 and Jack on 29th March 1981.  Jenny was James McKenzie's daughter.

I would be chuffed if you could take a photo of any of these stones.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

All the best

Betty,

I just returned from Highland.  I found two pairs of horizontal markers approximately seventy feet apart:

Pair 1
- James (1883-1957) and Helen (1882-1962) McKenzie - plot 231 B1
- Fraser G. McKenzie (1924-1994)

Pair 2
- Jack (1915-1981) and Jenny H. (1914-1994) Lindfield
- James H. A. (1920-1982) and Ann Marie (1924- ) McKenzie

If you send me your e-mail address by private e-mail, I'll send you the pictures I took.

I also saw the aftermath of the recent crematorium fire (http://www.canada.com/globaltv/ontario/features/consumer_sos/story.html?id=c67d8b0a-9158-430b-983b-3aa966eec3e0).
