Being 83 at death in 1783 Elizabeth is probably the daughter of Richard, born 1700. It is possible for her to be still having children at 44. Have some of my lot that stopped around that age, one was 46.

Good morning Ian,

First of all, thanks for the info on the James HATHRILL & Lucy HEAVENS marriage. You've helped me solve a problem.*

Secondly, I've also come across the "els FURBELO" records as well. Do you know, by any chance, what the "els" bit means ? I couldn't figure it out until your previous post.

My sister had been to Longcot and photographed some of the transcripts of the PR's, in particular where the Heavens name appeared. And there were children mentioned with the name of Heavens, but father FURBELO.

I shall try and follow up this line and see what it gives.

Thanks for your comments and time.

Nick

PS: Do you think that 83 at time of death is sufficiently accurate to pin-point the birth at 1700 rather than 1705 ? Records always seem to be a little approximate in those days.

"els" means alias I think.

Mmmmm ! Quite feasible. I'm going to look into the Furbelo side and see what happens !
