Joseph Hodgson
« on: Wednesday 05 January 05 09:43 GMT (UK) »

I am trying to trace the death of my Grandfather, Joseph Hodgson, born March 1889 in Kelloe, he was the son of Robert and Sarah Jane (nee Law).
I believe he died in 1916 as my father was told he had died or been killed when my father was 2 years old.
Joseph married Elizabeth Jane Barkas in December 1908 and according to my father's birth certificate he was a "Private Yorks L.I. (Lamp Lighter)"
My father was born in October 1914 so I assume my Grandfather was conscripted for the 1914/18 war.

Thank you Tabitha,
I have been there and there is at least one which might be him but with no other info listed such as next of kin or date of birth I can't be sure, but thanks anyway.
