johnstone is the name of the parish and Johnstonebridge is the name of the vilage within the parish.  Lived there most of my life so should be able to tell you if the places you are interested in are still there or not.

Thanks. Someone  on my tree was born at Raehill. But later her birth place was given as Johnstone.  I did eventually find Raehill on the ordance survery.
