Please could anyone tell me the Registration District for Phillimore Place, Kensington in 1861, without going through all the Enumeration Districts. I would like to know who lived at No 12. My Ggrandfather married from that address in 1867, I can't find him on the 1861 Census. Thank you. RBC.

Hello Meliora
Thank you for your message. It doesn't lead me to my Ggrandfather but it tells me that he must have been lodging at NO 12 at the time of his marriage.
George Cullen aged 24 was recorded on his Marriage cert as a coachman. By 1871 he was again recorded as a coachman living in Lancaster Mews, Marylebone. Name transcribed as Callen.
We are trying to trace his movements between 1851, when he was an 8yr old, living with his parents, in Nottingham Mews, Marylebone and 1867. The 1861 census record could be another transcription error but we can't find it.
We are looking for an Irish connection as we were told our ancestors were Irish. DNA results seem to suggest otherwise!!!
My grandfather, ggrandfather and gggrandfather were all domestic coachmen, it has proved very difficult to trace any of them.
