Isleworth baptism/burial confirmation- LOVE
« on: Thursday 11 October 07 20:20 BST (UK) »

I'd like to confirm the baptism of William Leader Love, son of James and Sarah Love on 02/06/1817 and death of same between 1817 and 1826. Also, baptism of William Love on 17/11/1826.  If birth dates (and death date of William Leader Love) are provided, then this would be great! (Otherwise, I have baptisms of other Love children in Isleworth for this period)

Many thanks for any assistance!

Hi Dawn,

Many thanks for your PM on this. I hadn't been notified that I had a response so please accept my abject apologies. I am most appreciative of this great information! I have the baptismal dates for the following children born to James Love and Sarah Leader Love in Isleworth- can you tell me if I am missing anyone?

William Leader 1817
Ann Love 1819
James Love 1822
Mary Love 1824
George Love 1828
Robert Love 1819
Sarah Love 1832
Frances Love 1834
Richard Love 1835
Jane Love 1838
Edmund Love 1840

I was also told that there was a William Love baptised in 1826 but this is unconfirmed and would likely be based on the death of William Leader between 1817 and 1826. If I am able to further impose on your kindness, can you tell me if you were able to find a baptism for William in 1826 and a death for William Leader between 1817-1826?

Many thanks for your kind assistance!

Hi Joanna

I didn't get notification for your reply either, I found that your message had moved up the list, so I have clicked on the notify button. I think occassionaly thing like this happen with postings, it's happened to me before.

Yes, I can confirm that another William was baptised 1826 8th Feb, born 1826 17th Jan, with James (servant) and Sarah his parents.

However, there is no burial entry for the first William either Leader or Love in the index. I have to go back to Hounslow in a couple of weeks to return a book I borrowed so I'll ask to see the actual film. He may have been missed - unlikely but possible.

Hi Joanna

Finally got back to Hounslow library, I couldn't renew my book over the internet or phone any longer!

I've had a look at the film of Isleworth burials and there isn't a William (Leader) Love buried there between 1817 and 1826.

It's a long shot but do you think there is any possiblilty this is the same child, just baptised a 2nd time with the Love surname, as the first time he was a Leader (before his parents married)?

Hi Dawn,

Thank you so very very much for your kindness in keeping my query in mind. It is greatly appreciated. Yes, I definitely think your theory is a possibility. I'll keep checking for evidence of William Leader Love in life and maybe this will help to solve the puzzle.

I really appreciate your assistance, Dawn!
