At the time of his sons marriage in 1900 Frederick Arthur Lovett was deceased and was a Solicitor's clerk. from the marriage cert. His son Charles Henry Lovett was born Croydon Surry in 1877. any info much Appreciated. Thanks Carol

Hi Carol
If you look at the 1881 census (which is free to view on Ancestry or any other site) you will be able to find out where Frederick was born and when.

What is the source for Charles Henry's DoB and PoB ?
Do you have him on the 1901 census ?

Still looking on 1881 census for Fredrick and yes Charles Henry in Wales in 1901. Regards carol

Thats the only census I have been able to find him.
He also doesnt have a Croydon Birth Index entry - in fact there are no Charles Henrys around in that period .... wonder if he was a forename shuffler

Looked through 1881 Census and can't find them. in 1901 Census it gives Charles Henry Lovett born Croydon Surry. But thanks to everyone who has helped Regards Carol
