Some genie help please…
I have a gravestone photo showing a Benjamin Mutton, son of james & maria mutton, Halvergate, Norfolk, UK Died 25/4/ 1832* or 1852, cant quite read…
But the only family details I can find for James & Maria Mutton states that Benjamin was born 1856.. Could there of been another benjamin born earlier ? I can't find him....
*I do know that James & Maria were married Jan 22 1837, so the death date is more likely 1852.
Anyone offer any help ?
Regards Phil

James and Maria are on the 1841 census with 3 year old Benjamin an 11month old James. On the 51 census, Benjamin is 12 years old. Then on the 61 census, there is a 5 year old son called Benjamin. So I would say the 1st Benjamin died young and they had another son who they called Benjamin. It is a common thing with my ancestors.
If you want I can give you a transcript of the various census's with the rest of the family members
