hi..i am trying to establish if elizabeth standish b 1796 ,neston cheshire and mary standish b 1802 neston cheshire are sisters...i have elizabeth,my 4x g grandmothers parents-edward standish 1767 and anne foulkes c1770....i have no bros/sisters for elizabeth....anyone any tips or advice how i might find them...regards...allan

Hi Allan,
Neston baptisms are online at http://www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb/
It doesn't look like Elizabeth and Mary are sisters - Mary's parents are John & Anne. It does look as if Elizabeth has older siblings born to Edward and Ann/Nancy and possibly an earlier marriage for Edward with 2 more children.

In my experience Ann and Nancy (and sometimes Hannah) are fairly interchangeable.
