"As part of an ambitious project, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has indexed and digitized the OHIO DEATH CERTIFICATES from Dec. 20, 1908-1953. This FREE resource may be accessed by visiting www.familysearchlabs.org clicking on the "Record Search" link, and registering to use the site. Once you have received your registration confirmation e-mail (in about 24 hours), you will be able to sign in and search by the name of the deceased, as well as by the names of his or her spouse and parents."
Footnote: the librarian said that he had heard that the site had crashed due to the volume of interest. It might be advisable to wait a week or so before attempting to enter the site.

I've been using this for about 2 months and, aside from a brief period when it said the images weren't available, it's been working fine for me. It's helped me a lot. It also has the 1850 Census, 1900 Census (almost complete), WWII Draft Registration Cards from a few states, death records from a few states, and a few other assorted databases.

Birth or death records prior to 1908 are located in the probate court of county where birth/death occurred.
You could also try looking on familysearch.org. The information may be available on microfilm and you could order it if you're near a Family History Center.
According to this website, under "Other Information", the Probate Court of Wayne County has marriage records from 1813. There is an address and phone # listed for that court. I don't see an email address.
