Hi Monica,
Parents for Grace are Peter Duncan fisherman & Jean Duncan ms Carmichael both deceased.
Both the OPR & LDS have Malcom as b. 8th May 1830 so thats what I was going on. I have collected the images of all his siblings from SP. They all appear to have been Christened within a reasonable amount of time. I know what you mean about years later as another branch of the family I am recording were all Christened at the same time, due to regular ministers not being available in their area.
My idea about the parents of Grace was just a thought that I thought I would get your opinion on, didn't really think it would be so. But sometimes I look outside the square just incase.

Regards

Looking outside the square is a vital requirement in genealogy - our ancestors left no instructions!

I just thought to check the name order for the children of John Dallas and Grace, hoping to find a Margaret or Jean as first born daughter for Grace (would have settled for 2nd born too!) and not only did I not find that but I also didn't see the names used at all - nor Peter's name either  Huh

From what I can see, John Dallas and Grace Duncan married 09 FEB 1811 Saddell And Skipness. Children showing to them from the OPRs:

Walter 1812
Carlina 1814
Robert 1816
Mary 1818
Grizal 1820
James 1823
Flora 1825

Does John Dallas show as first husband to Grace in her DC?

Regards.

Monica
