Are P.M's held on rootschat

The reason i am asking is because i have 404 (and it isn't all long ago since i deleted a lot).Do these P.M take up room on rootschats Machines like emails do on our computers.I always delete emails i have finished with.

PMs are stored on the rootschat server.  Messages remain on the server until you delete them.  Yes they do take up storage space.

When you download emails from your ISP's mail server to your email program then the emails are automatically removed from your ISP's mail server.
