Spread Eagle ~ Southam

I have a will from 1626 and in it there is a mention of a farm called the "Spread Eagle" in Southam which is left to the son of deceased.  Has anyone out there heard of the farm, does it still exist at all? Any information would be gratefully received.

Just wanted to let you know that I have been looking for you but as yet haven't found anything  Sad
sorry hope I haven't got your hopes up by replying.
I've checked the listings in Yell.com but no Spread Eagle farm, of course theres a very good chance that if the farm does still exist it has changed its name over the years  Smiley
Do you have any other info which might help in the search?

Hi and thanks for reply.  No, no more details than that in the will ~ just farm called Spread Eagle and pasture land etc etc.

I think I need to try and get some old maps, but thought that it might ring a bell with someone before I start down that route.
