Selston - Roll of Honour
« on: Saturday 09 February 08 23:05 GMT (UK) »

For those who may be interested I have just added the 'Roll of Honour' for Selston to the following website:-

http://www.jacksdale.org.uk

From the home page on the left navbar
Click on
Other Memorials
then Selston
then Roll of Honour

We discovered the roll in the church recently - it lists some who fell and a lot who served from the parish in WW1 and WW2. This is the first we knew of a list of those who served.

If you have any connections we would be very pleased to hear from you.

Thanks Annie for your kind words

We started researching our war memorial in 1999 - or about then - it was only a few weeks ago we found the roll in the church - despite having been there several times - it was hidden behind something - propped up in a window - or I think - just glad we found it - a bit of a breakthrough - having a list of those who served as well.
