« on: Wednesday 16 January 08 16:29 GMT (UK) »

Can any one help please

Ref RG10/3666 census returns 1871 Cheadle

James Barratt family plus a extra son?

Ruddolph C---ther aged 11years    (B 1860) born Manchester.

I have no idea who this is and can not read his surname. James wife Rebecca, is his second wife

but when they married she gave her name as Garlick.

Please can anyone read the surname.
Thank you

none of the sites seem to want to own him.
He is Spelt Rudolf on ancestry Ive just noticed which seems to be very sensitive to correct spelling.
I found him mistranscribed on another site by just searching on Rudolph. And now I cant stop singing THAT reindeer  song which is all your fault.

it just doesn't go with Crowther does it?

Rebecca is Garlick (or similar) in 1851 but I couldn't find a marriage for her to Mr Crowther.

Could you let me have Rebecca Garlick on the 1851 please? That is the only one I do not have of her.

I don't think she every married Mr Crowther, who ever he was and lived in hope that he would marry her. Roll Eyes
It was left to my James to marry her in 1863. Grin Good lad!

Thanks for you help
