I have a baptism (20 Jan 1805) and marriage (20 Jan 1825) for Charlotte Pritchard at St Michael's Winterborne. Her parents were William and Ann. Please is anyone able to look up original records or copies to see if they give any further details of her parents - where William came from, occupation, mother's maiden name.
I think William came from Chipping Sodbury - but there are several possibles there and in other places nearby

The parish locator prog. Parloc (Google for it) does not give Winterborne as a parish. Where is it please?

Yes, with a "u" Parloc gives it.

If you use the procedure at http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/FindingBatchNos.html you will find that the filmed church records from Winterbourne parish church have not been extracted which is why you can find hardly anything on the IGI from there.

If you get no joy with your posting you will have to search (or have searched) the appropriate LDS film. See the LDS library catalogue for details of films available for hire at LDS FHC's. If you are near an LDS church, contact them for details of how to proceed.

Winterbourne has its own - excellent - family history website

This is where I found transcripts of my birth and marriage information (though I notice I made another typo in my original request - marriage should have been 1827!)

If marriage register does not provide additional information (it does not look as if it does from the transcript) then I shall have to continue the process of elimination in order to identify Charlotte's parents.

They were William and Ann. I have not found their marriage.
Their eldest child Elizabeth was christened in Chipping Sodbury in 1794 which implies either they were living there then or that Ann came from there. Their later children were christened in Winterbourne. I guess they were married between 1780 and 1795.

So I suppose I should extend my request to include any information on this marriage if anyone comes across it.
