Quote from: Lesanne on Today at 19:29:22
Prerogative Court of Canterbury and Other Probate Jurisdictions: Engrossed Inventories Exhibited from 1660 PROB 4/11218 Turner, Ralph, of Bray, Berks, husbandman . Turner, Ralph, of Bray, Berks, husbandman Prerogative Court of Canterbury and Other Probate Jurisdictions: Engrossed Inventories Exhibited from 1660 The National Archives, Kew Date: 1689.
Does this mean there was a Will of Ralph Turner?
Not a Will, it seems - an Inventory, which poss. means he died intestate and someone (usualy more than one person) had to list his goods and their value. Possibly means we won't get any beneficiaries, but if anything was jointly owned by Ralph and a son or his wife, this will be stated. There may be a name of a dwelling mentioned, with luck.
Is it available to be ordered online? I'm a bit reluctant to be encouraging you to keep forking out, at £3.50 a pop I personally think they could give us more clues at the NA, otherwise it's a lottery - but your Ralph stopped fathering children with Male Baby Turner in 1688, and this document is dated just one year later...

As it's not online, if you got in touch, presumably they'd copy it for you (hopefully they are a bit more forthcoming than Berks R.O...... )
