I have a Jean Sinclair I believe was born 25 Dec 1743 Orkney
who married Peter Shearer born c1740 Stronsay Orkney in Stronsay 2 Sept 1756. Would like information on Jean Sinclair's parents and siblings please.
My only concern is from Jean's birth date she would have had to be under 13yrs of age when she married.
Through Orkney Archives it has been established that a Jean Sinclair did marry a Peter Shearer in Stronsay Orkney on 2 Sep. 1756.
Their children:
Ann Shearer born 1757 Stronsay.
Jean Shearer baptised 7 Jan 1764 born Stronsay.
Peter Shearer born 15 March 1766 Stronsay. bap: 26 March 1766 Stronsay
Any help much appreciated.

Jean Sinclair's parents could be William Sinclair born bef. 19 Mar 1699 and Katharin Johnston. They were married on 13 Jan 1727 at Evie & Rendall, Orkney.
