Barneys at Hambleden?
« on: Saturday 19 January 08 19:21 GMT (UK) »

In 1851, Josiah Barney (b. abt 1813) is living at Stokenchurch, with his wife, Emma and their 2 children, Felix George and Harriet.
In all the censuses, he gives his pob as Stokenchurch, but the parish records have no Josiah.... (I could not find him in 1841).

In 1841, there is a John Barney (b. abt 1793) from Hambleden, who has a Joseph Barney living with him at Stokenchurch...... the age is not right, but I wondered if this could be Josiah?

Are there perhaps some Barneys listed in the PRs of Hambleden?
Was Josiah christened there, perhaps?  Undecided
