Jennifer

Hi there

I have heard of it and mention of it also appears in a book - The Phenomenon of Teilhard: Prophet for a New Age.

On 20 March 1890 Teilhard entered the Jesuit novitiate at Aix-en-Provence and was ordained a priest on 2 August 1911 by Monsignor Amigo, Bishop of Southwalk, in the chapel at Ore Place, the Jesuit house in Hastings on the Sussex Coast

Chris

Sorry Jennifer, I tried to paste the page - but would not do it.

Hi again

Ore place in Ore is about 100 yards up the road from where I now live - right next door (or even part of) St Helens Church on which I have done quite a bit of work.

One of the buildings there does look a bit like a chapel - will have to make further enquiries about it
