can you find on any census this man.
according to the igi he was christened 14 AUG 1810 Saint Michael, New Malton, Yorkshire, England and married to elizabeth waters 12 FEB 1833 Saint Mary Castlegate, York, Yorkshire, England.

William Ruddock's parents were Christiana Sunman and John Ruddock, Christiana was daughter of Richard Sunman and Elizabeth - all details can be found on www.familysearch.org - good IGI coverage of New Malton

thanks barbara.
you are right there, the william ruddock who is on there is my gggrandad. he is richard sunmans grandson. his mother was richards daughter. i think there is a pic of him on here somewhere i posted before.
so far of richards children there was only one that carried the sunman name that i have found. he moved to lancashire and called himself richard/robert at various times.
i was hoping that myers would have carried the name on in his line.

Sadly then it looks as if Myers died before having any children, can't seem to find his widow in 1841 though

i was thinking she had probably wed again by then. trying to find her with nothing to go on isnt going to be easy.

Have looked for Waters families in Malton 1841, not many about, this could be her mother and brother, hoped she might have been with them:

in 1851 George & Ann still there, no children.
but Elizabeth senior has a grandchild...Mary's child?

Newbegin, New Malton, Yorks
Elizabeth Waters head wid 72 Pauper formerly Waterman's wife  Yorks Great Barugh
Robert Lyon grandson  9 At home   Yorks Old Malton

According to IGI, children Mary Ann 1812, George 1814 and Elizabeth 1818 were baptised at Whitby, parents George Waters & Elizabeth
but that Elizabeth may be too young to be Myers Sunman's wife
