Hi Patrish,
Do you know what denomination it might be? I think the Church of England have lists of churches in various areas not sure about the others.
Have you tried googling "churches in Edmonton Middlesex"?
Are you sure it is a burial in a churchyard? Edmonton Cemetery opened in 1884.
Sorry it's all questions!

Hi Patrish,
Can you expand on what you mean by Edmonton. Is this based on an address from some other information or are you refering to a registration district? The answer ro your churches question will be different in each case.

This query is via a friend of mine who has been helping another person, all she told me is that he died in Edmonton in 1929. they are wiating for the death cert to arrive, so then at least we will have an address.
I will try googling Nanny Jan.
thank you both.
Patrish.

The problem is that in 1929 Edmonton registration district was huge and even included parts of Hertfordshire before it was split up in 1939. The death certificate will hopefully narrow the target by giving you the subdistrict.

Hello, Patrish,
A couple of addresses for you re cemeteries, Edmonton.
The first one that comes to mind is the huge Tottenham Cem. at White Hart lane, N.17, records are at the Enfield Cemetorium, Gt Cambridge Rd, EN1 4DS. Tottenham is covered by the Reg distict of Edmonton.
There is also the Tottenham Park Cem, Montague Rd, N9, records at the cemetery.
Also there is the Edmonton Cemetery, Church St., N 9, some records are at the cem & some at the Enfield Civic Centre, Enfield.

Thank you Meliora,
I had hoped that the records may have been at the Met Archives but it would appear not.
I will convey your kind information.

Hi Patrish
Your post caught my eye, my Grandad also died in Edmonton in 1929 and is buried in Edmonton cemetry. I’ve found Enfield council very helpful when looking for records etc.
There’s a wonderful website about Edmonton past and present http://anidea.co.uk/lower-edmonton/. They have a section about churches in Edmonton under ‘Buildings’ and then ‘Churches & Places of ‘Worship’.
