Tottenham was in the civil registration distirct of Edmonton so births, marriages and deaths will have been registered if they occurred in Tottenham with the Edmonton registrar (after 1965 Haringey).

For church records it would depend where the family lived in Tottenham and whether they were Anglicans or non-conformists and whether they attended church. Church records will hold baptisms, but marriages could of course have been held at the local registry office and burials (or cremations) from the second half of the C19th were increasingly likely to have been in cemeteries not in churchyards.

Many new parishes were created in the second half of the 19th century.

If you give us a name and an approximate date someone might be able to help.
