Sculcoates Relatives

I am lookin for family members of the Waldie Family from Sculcoates. George Waldie was born in 1779 in Scotland but married Mary ? who came from Kirton in Lincs in 1781.  Had children Archibald Waldie b1821 South Dalton died Sculcoates in 1866 married to either Mary (Lusby or Hollingsworth) and Martha Stark.  Does anyone recognise those names?  If so I would be grateful for a contact.

Just so that you don't think you're being ignored, I've tried to find other information about your Waldie family in the area - and failed miserably. I suspect this has been the case with other Rootschatters. All I found was the marriage to Martha Stark, which I suspect you have anyway.

You say Archibald married first to either Mary Lusby or Hollingsworth - did you get this from a page of the BMD indexes which contained Archibald's name but more than one possible bride? If so, where and when did this marriage take place?

Can I just clarify something else? You say George was born in 1779 and Mary in 1781 - but the only child you mention is Archibald born 1821 in South Dalton. This would make Mary 40 when she had him. Do you know of any other children to Archibald & Mary?

Have you found them on any of the censuses?

George and Mary Waldie had a daughtter Jane who married James Mathison (1805) and they had a son George J Mathison born 1837

Archibald Waldie married another woman Mary Ann Hollingsworth (born in 1820) was married to a gentleman with the name Hollingsworth so her maiden name was Cooper (daughter of Richard Cooper according to marriage certificate).
