Mary Ann's maiden name was Higgins, she was born ab; 1825, any help very much appreciated

Hello Jenny,

Have you found them in 1851? I can't even see them there.

I have seen the son William as you say in 1861- he is a nephew. Who is the James Suggett also listed as a nephew born 1846?  He too seems to disappear after 1861.

Have you checked for deaths for William and Mary Ann? There is a William Suggitt Bethnal Green in 1849 which is too early if they have a son in 1852.
What is the name of this child and does he survive?

sorry it's all questions but I'm searching everywhere with no results.  Cry

best wishes

I know, it is a real mystery,
James is the  illigetimate son born  to Mary Ann in 1842
he was James Higgins, I am presuming he took the name Suggett.  John was born 14 Feb 1852 at Bishopgate.    the only John I found was also down as a woodchopper,   in 1861  there are
John, Abraham & Richard Suggett at a Pauper's school in Hanwell, London,  as yet I do not know if they are brother's  or cousins  or who their parents are
I have not found the deaths of Mary Ann or William, like you I thought about William who died in 1849, but then where did John come from,

yes I saw the Suggetts and wondered but when I saw Richard - I thought I'd better leave it. Didn't see Abraham.
Richard is still there in 1871.
Just seen Abraham here: RG10; Piece: 1657; Folio: 130; Page: 4 - he is in the army.

There is a birth for Abraham Sept quarter 1856 Bethnal Green Vol 1c pg 226.
It may be worth getting that to see parents.

It might also be that William did die and Mary Ann continued to have children with  Undecided and just named them Suggitt.
