My 4*great grandparents were married in Alverley in 1740 Aug/Sept I think.By banns.

He was Richard Goode born in Burwarton 1709 and he married a Sarah Bivern. We have  tried several times to find out about her, but have been unable to discover anything at all.
Any help would be appreciated.

I see on the IGI the name seems to be spelt different ways - Bivern, Bevern, Beavern, Bevorn all around the 1700s, and when googling this name, a German page came up (Wikipedia, press translate into English), I wonder if the family came from Germany around this time and that is why you are a brickwall with her  Undecided

Thankyou for your reply, I have little to go on I'm affraid. My ancestor Richard Goode born 1709 in Burwarton married by banns a Sarah Bivern . I think between Aug/Sept. in 1740, in Alveley. I have not been able to find out anything at all about Sarah Bivern and would be grateful for any help. Regards Juliet. (nee Goode)
