Fanny Ellen Pow and Sarah J. M. Pow are in the following censuses living in Bradford Yorks.
1871 census RG10/4454/62 Pg14
1881 census RG11 4465 folio 31 page 10
Fanny was born about 1862 in Podnah East Indies and
Sarah was born about 1859 in ?Sokedule? East Indies
Has anyone access to the East Indies BMD details, and able check out the births for me?

Following the lead from other post ....Sarah seems to marry Clark White and in 1891/81 her birth place is given as Scotland.

Linking to your Somerset post the 1871 gives Sarah J birthplace as just East Indies, looking more closely Fanny appears to have been born Schedule  then do for East Indies.
