Parish Records for Staffordshire
« on: Wednesday 29 April 09 15:20 UTC (UK) »

Hello,

Can anyone help with a look-up please. Death Record for Thomas Wedgwood , burial date 25th February 1773.
Dedication St. John the Bapist. Burial Burslem.

I would like to know if his widow's name is Jemima Wedgwood. They were living in Swansea at the time of his death.

Thank you.

Hi Mere, there won't be any death record in 1773, no death registration until 1837.  Thomas would have died a few days before the Burial.  I would just record it as 'Abt Feb 1773.'  Linell.

Hi Mere

I have a copy of the printed burials for Burslem for the year you are after.

It gives 1773, Feb 25 Thomas Wedgwood, senr, (Upper House)

Hi Willow

I am a descendant of Gilbert Wedgwood.

I think that Jane Richards was Thomas Wedgwood IV's wife at the time of his death.
