I have a bit of a brick wall as I am trying to find the birth and hence the parents of Thomas Sperry b abt 1800 possibly Hinckley, Leicestershire.

He married Mary Ann Warinton/Wointon/Warmington in 1824 in Leicester (St Margarets)

He died in Hinckley in 1838 (ref BMI index). So he passed away before the census records.

They lived in Hinckley and Mary was from Hinckley so it is a possibility he wasn't born there.

Can anyone help??

However I also found another possible birth on IGI:

A BAPTISM Found:~

Thomas Sperry.
9th. June. 1799.
Thornton. Leicestershire.
Father :~ John Sperry.
Mother :~ Elizabeth.

So I'm confused as the only thing I can go on is naming conventions and there are no Jacobs or Prudences in the Children or Grandchildren but plenty Johns and Elizabeths... but only an assumption so I'm not sure where to look now....

The marriage you have for Thomas and Mary is correct. And I found the multiple baptisms of their children too.

But mostly, thank you very very much for the burial info as I didnt have this Smiley The burial info would place Thomas as being born 1801..... Hmmm more to ponder....
