Hi,

Of all my ancestors my grandfather's family is proving to be the hardest to trace.
Edward Percy Nolan was born abt. 1874-1876 to Martin and Bridget Nolan. I believe he was born in Maryborough, Queens County (Laois). Martin was a Blacksmith and at one time they lived at 18 Market Square, Maryborough, Queens Co.
My grandfather was in the British Army and transferred between England and the Curragh Camp on a number of occasions. He died on 5th February 1933 at Ballysax.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get further information on my grandfather and great-grandparents? Also if he died at Ballysax, where would he have been buried? He was a Roman catholic.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

births. MARY NOLAN 3-11-1868. EDWARD NOLAN 25-7-1873 BOTH BORN MARYBOROUGH, QUEENS,IRE.

On other thread which I've linked above I found births of daughter Mary and three other children; now with Edward born 1873 there seem to be at least 5 children.
