Colour for Gt Aunt Myfanwy please?
« on: Friday 25 January 08 11:55 GMT (UK) »

Hi there....

This is Myfanwy Phillips (1904-1999). Photographed in Jun 1928 (at about 3.37pm judging by her watch!! Smiley

She married Reginald George White Facey in Builth Wells in 1938.

Could I get some colour for her please? She had blue/grey eyes!

Thanks very much

Keith

She is beautiful isn't she  Wink
I wanted to call my daughter Myfanwy but my mum said everyone would call her Fanny. I tried to convince mum that she would be called Van but I lost.
She got named Leeanne, just like 40 thousand other 1960's kids. Oh well, I guess she wouldn't have thanked me, Fanny in Australia in the 70's & 80's would have had a hard time.  Grin
Cheers,
Leonie.

She was lovely yes....always took the greatest care of herself...She was the Llanwrtyd Wells beauty queen in the 1920s. She was always known as "Mannie"....(thank goodness! Grin).

She was engaged for 10 years..I assume to the same chap she married in 1938......but who knows?.....looking like that, she probably had loads of suitors Smiley.

She was the sister of my Grandma - Elizabeth Phillips - so recently coloured here.

Thank you for your kind comments
