Neil/Duff - Gatehouse of Fleet

I am trying to find out what happened to James Neil and Elizabeth Duff after their marriage in 1922 at Gatehouse of Fleet.  James was born c1880 at Borgue and Elizabeth was born 1889 in Church Street.

I've checked Scotlandspeople without success.

There is only one James Neil  of roughly the correct age showing in KKd deaths on SP:


1947 - James Brodie Neil died in Buitle, aged 66.

On the births register, there are two possibles:

1879 and 1881 - both Borgue, both James Neil

His parents were Peter Neil and Mary Wilson Shennan.

Her parents were John Duff (born McQuarrie) and Helen Heron.
