Just had another quick look at Headington history -
http://www.headington.org.uk/history/briefhistory.htm
...to see if I could glean anything useful, and I see it had a Quarry. This would tie in nicely with the Bondsmen (and prob. fathers) of Henry Norris, Miller and Jane Godfrey (Henry Norris of Forest Hill & Thos. Godfrey of Headington, from Marriage Bond) being Masons.
Have also remembered something else - OH has millers & bakers on his tree, millers esp. were notorious for moving around from mill to mill, but quite often not straying too many miles out of their locality. We don't know what sort of miller Henry was, do we (?) apart from the poss. tie in with the earlier Ralph Norris who was a baker.
Have we got/can we get professions for any of Henry's sons? that might give us a clue if they followed father (or grandfathers) into the same trades, what they did for a living should be on their marriage lines...

I'm emailing the OROffice to ask where they found the reference to Miller. Also, is Oxon Mason a place? or is it Oxon, .... a Mason. If the later, is this a member of the Mason Fraternity. That possibly would give other records..... Mason is the profession...they pretty nearly always had to state it on a Marriage Bond...

Hi Folks, I'm emailing the OROffice to ask where they found the reference to Miller. Also, is Oxon Mason a place? or is it Oxon, .... a Mason. If the later, is this a member of the Mason Fraternity. That possibly would give other records..... I have the opportunity to go up to London next week... I don't want to waste the time..... Do I go to 1.N A Kew - 2.London Metro Archives 3. Other. I would very much like to get a photo of Susanna Document at Kew, but, if you think my time would be better spent elsewhere, please point me in that direction. 3. Harvey Nicks?
Seriously though, Kew may be best bet, as your chaps are spread around, Oxon/Berks etc. See what everyone got from A2A, and if there's enough to make it a good idea, go for that. LMA might be a bit too close London for the early chaps...
Do I remember seeing that Henry Norris Jnr. who m. Jane Godfrey was a Miller on his Marriage Reg. entry?
