Hi Debbie, Its a shame that the picture's and snippets have been stopped...... There were letters, photo's, newspaper cuttings etc 6 Parts... Here's the links.. There are summaries all through with links at various stages. http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,276294.0.html pt1 http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,276890.0.html pt 2 http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,277676.0.html pt3 http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,278684.0.html pt 4 http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,279571.0.html pt 5 http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,281880.0.html pt 6 The inventory of 1689 in Bray was on a skin with the old dark brown ink. It gave all the house contents. Plus waggons and animals etc. That was Susannah Turnor... of Ralfe still trying to find them, hence the visitation 1633 and now just found a will of William 1643. Not sure if all the other wills that were posted have gone too. Its been really fun tracing them and the paralel families. Just bringing them forward. Will work on the photo's and snippets.

The manor of LULLEBROOK (Lullebroc, Lowebrooks, Lollybrooks, Lillybrooks), which is also called the manor of Cookham, is apparently in part the hide of land in Cookham, with 6 acres in Lichdene and a weir in 'Lullebroc,' granted in 1205 to Adam son of Ralph de Burnham, (fn. 38) having formerly been held by William de Buggehesel. (fn. 39) Adam's heir Gunnilda Kyrye sold this estate in 1248 to Simon de Passelewe, (fn. 40) of whom it was purchased in 1252 by William son of Sweyn. (fn. 41) Walter de Lullebroc bought a messuage and land in Cookham in 1292 of John de la Lane of Elington and his wife Joan. (fn. 42) In 1341 Joan the widow of Robert de Lullebroc, who in that year obtained licence to have an oratory in her manor at Cookham, (fn. 43) was holding a messuage and 140 acres of land and a weir in Cookham for life with reversion to William Trussell of Kibblestone, who settled them upon his college at Shottesbrook. (fn. 44) The estate probably remained in the possession of the college until its dissolution in 1547 and was granted with it to Thomas Weldon, for his son William conveyed 'the manor of Lulbrokes' in 1590 to Thomas Turner alias Ferrers. (fn. 45) The manor remained in that family, (fn. 46) whose pedigree is entered in the Visitation of 1665, (fn. 47) until 1660, when Thomas's great-grandson John Ferrers alias Turner conveyed it to William Chilcott and Thomas Lee. (fn. 48)
Is this the chappie who's will we had? Just as Bramble left..... I think there was some sort of a rift in the family because of the will.....
This is definately in the area now known as Cox Green, on the edge of Bray. I have a friend that lives in Lillebrook Road....
Ferrers. Or a bend sable with three horseshoes argent thereon.

The Fingest bit. I don't know this area, but I do know Temple and my Gt Grannie is Kate Williams Well I never....
The manor was retained by successive prebendaries until the middle of the 19th century, when it passed to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners. (fn. 10) It has been usual from the 16th century onwards to lease the manor for three lives, the leasehold remaining in the same family for many generations. Thus from the early 17th century the manor was held by a family of the name of Ferrers alias Turner. (fn. 11) In 1646 Thomas Ferrers, described on his monument as 'lord of Fingest manor,' died leaving two sons, Thomas and John, and four daughters, Mary, Elizabeth, Nathany and Deborah. (fn. 12) Mary Ferrers, his widow, in 1650 resigned to James Sale her interests in the lease, which was held at this time for the lives of William and Thomasine Ferrers, parents of the above Thomas, and for the life of his son Thomas. The rent was at this date £22. (fn. 13) Thomas Ferrers, jun., held the lease in 1656, (fn. 14) and according to Lysons the same family were holding the manor as late as 1737. (fn. 15) Thomas Dorell appears as lessee in 1780, (fn. 16) and the lease shortly after passed to Thomas Williams of Temple House, Bisham, (fn. 17) in whose family it has since remained, (fn. 18) the trustees of the late Lieutenant-General Owen Cope Williams being the present representatives.
