I am really stuck with my g.g.g.grandmother Elizabeth SMITH, b. either 1826 , or 21 dec 1828 Stockport Cheshire. with father James, and possibly mother Harriet. She married Richard SCHOLEFIELD b. abt 1828 Chowbent Lancs. They had a number of children, all with very English names, yet the second was named Victorine Louisa, and several family members have indicated that her mother, Elizabeth, was French. I have asked about this before, but am hoping new rootschatters may read this and have some new ideas on how to solve the mystery.

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou - a big breakthrough if this is our Elizabeth, and I'm sure it is. 
I don't suppose her parents were listed were they? Guess it would be too much to hope for,
