The will of Millicent Hutchings (1727) made many bequests to residents in Devizes. One of the main ones was to her brother, Charles Hillier of the "Great Britain". Does anyone know if there was an inn or a barge or a Huh of this name?

There is the 19th century Brunel"s SS Great Britain.  It is present on show in Bristol.  Hope this is of some help.   Sue

Thanks, I don,t think they were that wealthy. But, it does sound like a boat and the canal had been open 17 years at that time.
