thanks for looking. I do know that his wife alice died aged 38 and he brought up at least 4 children on his own no knowledge of second marriage. I wonder when james his dad died and could that be connected?

just looking at posts and certs that i have and it seems that AAron married alice hughes 29/may/1899 age 35 batchelor ( not 1889 as i posted so sorry) If he is 25 then he was born in 1864 not 1860 as I though on 1861 census or could this census be 3 years out. aaron registered alice death in 1918 her address given as 51 upper goalford ludlow
Do you think if i could find his death that might lead somewhere?
I really want to find him now thax wendy

a little confused over Aaron's age you stated Aaron was 35 when he married in1899 then said if he was 25 his y.o.b. would be 1864
is his y.o.b. 1854 or 1864??

Just realised I had looked for Aaron before- memory lapse.
I realise now he stated age as 35 on marriage cert -possiblity it was mistranscribed and he was really 39 -all supporting evidence (father's name and father being deceased at time of marriage ) seem to point to him being 39 -so his d.o.b. likely to be c. 1860
We found Alice in 1901 but Aaron not at home!
Will have another look now I have recapped earlier information
