There is only 1 Greygoose marriage and i need to double check the entry i have listed as the wife's name is illegable so i will get back to you on that one.

As for reynolds there are two

Illegable Reynolds
married 18/2/1640
Mary Browne

William Luckyn
married 30/10/1680
Mary Renolds

I will also check the first name of the 1640 marriage to Mary

This is interesting Jelnel, we have some of the same witnesses ! John Poulter and Joseph Purkiss, it looks like our ancestors had some friends in common, do you think ?

Just to let you know that John Poulter & Joseph Purkiss witnessed a lot of marriages, i would assume that they could have possibly been church clerks or maybe had some sort of standing in the community also.

Hi Ruth,

According to Wiki there were 129 people living in Barnson in 1801. So not many witnesses to choose from!! I haven't found any Poulters or Purkiss's in my Savill tree. Kath is probably correct.
