Hello there,'
not really new,(I'm not used to this yet),but further info about Jack /John Raleigh,may enable him to be found,I hope.He sent a card from Australia to a friend in Madeley,Shropshire,England in 1987,when he was about 100 years old(b.1887).Hopefully,his DEATH in Australia is recorded,and possibly there may have been an item in the press,about his longevity?
I hope this info helps
Also I am informed that he didn't go to Australia as early as I thought,but in the 1950's,maybe 1955.I would dearly like to find out what happened to Uncle Jack.

Did the friend still  have  the  card??  an  address in australa 

A death  in 1987  is  not  on Indexs  most states  have at least a 30year timeframe  to access information.
