Police in Auchterarder

Hello

I am trying to follow up on a research into Archibald McEwan 1821-69 County PC in Auchterarder
It's about the constabulary I cannot find much information..Are there any articles specific to
Auchterarder available for that time eg location of police station..wages..conditions..duties anything
of that nature..Just trying to build a picture.

Any pointers or information gratefully received.

Tayside Police Western Division headquarters in Perth have a museum, I believe, and I'm sure they would be a likely source. Also as intimated to others the AK Bell library, Perth archives are quite extensive and usually very helpful.

Thank you for that -  I had not thought about the change of the county force title
I will look further...NAS also have details of crime at that time in that area...Further
investigation required...Thanks again..
